Understanding Low Level Laser Therapy

  • Nashville, TN - Holiday Inn 2200 Elm Hill Pike Nashville, TN

All light is composed of photons. Photons are small packets of light energy—in the form of waves— with a defined wavelength and frequency. Photon energy is able to more effectively penetrate the skin and underlying structures, therefore accelerating the healing process. Studies have shown that when tissue cultures are
irradiated by Lasers, enzymes within cells absorb energy from laser light. Visible (red) light and Near Infrared (NIR) are absorbed within the mitochondria and the cell membrane. This produces higher ATP levels and boosts DNA production, leading to an increase in cellular health and energy. When applied as treatment,
therefore, Lasers have been shown to reduce pain and inflammation as well as stimulate nerve regeneration, muscle relaxation and immune system response.

Adding laser treatment can allow the chiropractor to enhance the patient’s altered physiology in multiple ways:
Pain reduction or managment
Decreased Muscle Soreness
Edema Reduction

The list of conditions with indications for laser therapy include:
Back pain: acute, chronic
Cervical pain
Shoulder tendinopathy
Frozen shoulder
Peripheral nerve injuries
Myofascial pain
and more.

This seminar will give you a better understanding of laser therapy.  Learn how laser therapy works and it's clinical uses.  You will also gain an understanding of laser characteristics:  wavelength, pulse frequency and wattage..the differences and the important things you need to know about how to best treat your patients using
this therapy.

Questions to be answered:
* What is the difference between lasers
* How do I actually treat a patient
* What do I need to know about safety
* What's the right laser to use

$249 per DC

*Rate goes up to $299 week of seminar
