Dr. Hayes is well known as an expert in the insurance and medical malpractice field by chiropractors as well as the insurance industry. He has been a consultant for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma since 1985.  He has consulted with many insurance companies regarding chiropractic Benefits.  He successfully won a case in 2022 against an insurance plan attempting to get over $200,000 back from a DC for their perceived billing for maintenance care when in fact it was appropriate care. He has been an expert witness on many cases and has been teaching on the topics of Medicare, Insurance, Risk Management, Documentation, Medical Malpractice, for many years.
