When the Image Tells a Different Story: Musculoskeletal Imaging, Unexpected Findings & Clinical Case Reviews

  • PADUCAH, KY Holiday Inn, 600 N. 4th St. Paducah, KY (map)

Schedule:
Friday: 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am - 4:00pm

Join Dr. Steven Gould for a comprehensive, clinically focused seminar designed to help practitioners look beyond the image and better understand what diagnostic findings mean for patient care.

Through practical examples, real-world cases, and engaging clinical discussions, you’ll explore the fundamentals and applications of MRI, plain-film X-ray, ultrasound, DEXA, and other diagnostic imaging modalities. Gain valuable insight into imaging protocols, common and complex pathologies, and conditions such as concussion and mild traumatic brain injury.

The seminar will also focus on the clinical decision-making process—helping you recognize when imaging findings may require referral, when they can support conservative care, and how imaging can contribute to a more complete understanding of the patient.

Case-based learning will take you beyond the obvious, highlighting subtle abnormalities, unexpected findings, and easily overlooked imaging clues that can significantly influence diagnosis, treatment, and patient management.

In This Seminar, You Will Learn:

MRI Fundamentals & Physics — Understand the principles behind MRI and develop familiarity with commonly used imaging sequences.

Diagnostic Imaging Modalities — Explore the clinical applications, advantages, and limitations of X-ray, MRI, ultrasound, and other imaging technologies.

DEXA & Osteoporosis — Gain a better understanding of bone density testing and imaging considerations associated with osteoporosis.

Concussion & Mild Traumatic Brain Injury — Examine imaging considerations and relevant findings associated with head injuries.

Selecting the Appropriate Imaging Study — Learn how clinical presentation and suspected pathology can help determine the most appropriate imaging modality.

Real-World Radiology Cases — Put your knowledge into practice by working through challenging and clinically relevant imaging cases.

Unexpected Findings & Imaging Clues — Learn to identify subtle or surprising findings that may alter the diagnosis, treatment approach, or need for referral.

By the end of the seminar, you’ll have a stronger understanding of diagnostic imaging and greater confidence in recognizing findings that matter. Most importantly, you’ll gain practical, clinically relevant knowledge you can apply to patient evaluation, decision-making, and management.

Attendance Policy
Upon arrival at a live seminar, you will sign in using our registration log. The seminar monitor will record your official arrival time.

Before leaving for the lunch break, you must sign out. The monitor will document your departure time. When you return from lunch, you will sign in again, and the monitor will note your return time.

When you leave the seminar and do not plan to return—whether at the scheduled end time or earlier—you must sign out. The monitor will record your final departure time.
If you do not sign in and out and our monitor assign the times of arrival and departure, you will not get any CE hours for attending as we cannot prove to a state board that you were there the full time.

CE Hours:
To earn full credit for an hour, you must sign or log in within 10 minutes of the hour's start and stay signed/logged in for a minimum of 50 minutes. Credit is awarded only in full-hour increments—partial hours are not credited. However, you are welcome to attend for less than the full scheduled time and will receive credit for each full hour completed.

Cancellation and Transfer Policy
You may cancel your registration or transfer to another seminar of equal or lesser cost up until the Monday prior to the scheduled seminar. If you transfer to a seminar of lesser cost before that Monday, the overage will be refunded, minus a 3.5% credit card processing fee. If you cancel before that Monday, your registration fee—minus a 3.5% credit card processing fee—will be refunded. After that Monday, all fees become non-refundable and non-transferable.
