Inflammation & Food Sensitivities

Dr. Kendel will kick off the weekend discussing the biochemical process behind inflammation and how it becomes chronic inflammation.  Leaky gut and the gut microbiome’s importance and role it plays in overall health as well as specific conditions will be discussed. You will learn the common causes of chronic inflammation and what we as chiropractors can do to treat it.

You will learn:
1.  How chronic inflammation affects the gut and how it leads to food sensitivities.
2.  What food sensitivities are exactly and how we can test for them and treat them.

Saturday:
Dry Needling Applications & Protocols

Dr. Hayes teaches and demonstrates Dry Needling - when and how to use it to better treat your patients. He will cover the safety of dry needling and the difference between dry needling and acupuncture, as well as ethical considerations for performing dry needling.  Dr. Hayes will discuss pain theory and the specifics of how a dry needle works.

Recent research as well as past research demonstrates the effectiveness of dry needling, making it one of the emerging popular therapies today.  However, if the practitioner is not skilled and fully understanding of how the needle works and how to determine the appropriate needle locations, the service can cause pain and discomfort, or poor outcomes.

In this seminar, you will learn:
1. Safety concerns and proper needle use and disposal
2. When dry needling should and should not be used
3. How to perform dry needling & the proper needle locations
4. Much more!

You will be prepared to competently use this technique in your practice Monday Morning.

This seminar includes a needle kit for you to pick up at the weekend registration booth that you can use during the seminar and take back with you to your office to get you started on Monday!
