Join us for an exciting AND practical Dry Needling program for Florida licensed doctors. This course contains the 40 hours of classtime and the testing required to apply for the Certification in Dry Needling from the Florida Board of Chiropractic.
FULL FLORIDA REQUIREMENTS (click here to see requirements on Florida’s website) To qualify for Dry Needling Certification you must submit documentation to verify you meet the following requirements
Completion of 40 hours of in-person continuing education on the topic of dry needling for Chiropractic Physicians not certified in Chiropractic Acupuncture and 24 hours of such in-person continuing education for Chiropractic Physicians certified in Chiropractic Acupuncture, and passage of a written and practical examination. Online or distance-based courses do not qualify as approved hours to meet the Dry Needling Certification requirements.
Completion of at least 10 patient sessions of dry needling performed under the supervision of a licensed chiropractic physician, allopathic or osteopathic physician, or physical therapist holding a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree who has actively performed dry needling for at least 1 year. A chiropractic physician must provide satisfactory documentation to the board demonstrating that he or she has met the supervision and competency requirements of this paragraph and does not need additional supervised sessions to perform dry needling.
DAY I: This day will cover the introduction to and history of dry needling. It will include material and information on the difference between dry needling and acupuncture, anatomy and neuroanatomy, pathways and neuropathways. You will learn safety issues, protocols and requirements regarding performing dry needling to ensure you are prepared with the information you need. You will also learn how to perform dry needling on the upper torso and extremities. This day will finish with demonstrations on how, where and when to use dry needling.
DAY II: Day two will be full of practical work. You’ll review what you learned about the upper torso and extremities and then practice what you’ve learned. You will end the day with more review on what you practiced throughout the day. This is a very hands-on day!
DAY III: This day will review the material and information from days one and two along with introducing contraindications and safety disposal. You will also learn how to perform dry needling on the lower torso and extremities. This day will finish with demonstrations on how, where and when to use dry needling.
DAY IV: Day four will be full of practical work. You’ll review what you learned about the lower torso and extremities and then practice what you’ve learned. You will end the day with more review on what you practiced throughout the entire program. This is a very hands-on day!
At the end of day four, you will take the exam which will cover all 4 days information. You must pass this with 75% accuracy to complete the FL Board Requirement.
40 Hour Dry Needling Program for Florida licensees
$1,000 per DC for all 40 hours ( for DCs not certified in Acupuncture in Florida)
$750 per DC for 24 hours - Oct. 24-25 (for DCs already certified in Acupuncture in Florida)
Includes Testing and Paperwork for State Certification
This program is not included in the Doctor Program free seminars because it is program for Certification.
